francesginzerFRANCES GINZER began her training in Alberta, and, at a very early age, demonstrated her commitment to the refined and passionate musical expression, which would lead her to a stellar international career. After intensive study with several of Canada’s esteemed vocal experts she debuted as Clothilde to Joan Sutherland’s Norma, but soon graduated to principal lyric soprano roles with companies in Canada and Germany, before later emerging as one of the world’s most sought-after dramatic sopranos–a rare and demanding transformation. She has performed to enormous acclaim throughout Europe, North America, and Asia at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, at the San Francisco Opera, at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, at La Scala in Milan, and at the Wagnerian shrine of Bayreuth. She now resides in her hometown of Calgary, inspiring a new generation of singers through mentoring and master classes.
