2020 Emerging Artist Awards competition now open

November 28, 2019 Edmonton…Alberta artists  – of all disciplines – who are in the early stages of their professional careers, are eligible to apply for the 2020 Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Emerging Artist Award.

The awards, consisting of a medal and $10,000, are given in alternate years to up to 10 deserving artists. Past recipients span the rich offering of visual, performing, design and literary professional arts in the province.

The competition closes at midnight February 23, 2020. Recipients will be notified in May 2020 and the awards will be presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta in a private ceremony at Government House, Edmonton in June 2020.
